Southern Oregon entrepreneurs in Jackson and Josephine counties can now apply for RCC’s SBDC’s Small Business Management Program for 2025—26, a nine-month course that begins on October 7 at RCC’s Table Rock campus with classes from 2 to 5 p.m. The first 20 applicants receive a $300 scholarship that cuts tuition to $318—an offer aimed at keeping expert coaching accessible for local business owners.

The Oregon State Marine Board and law enforcement agencies will launch Operation Dry Water from July 4th—6th to check boaters for alcohol, drugs, or marijuana, and impaired operators may face jail time, fines over $6,000, or loss of boating privileges to prevent boating deaths and injuries.
