- ➤ Two local businesses are hosting a holiday party and toy drive this Sunday, Dec. 14, at Weekend Beer Company on NW Washington Boulevard, where families can donate a new, unwrapped toy to support Josephine County Toys for Tots + enjoy live music, food trucks and fun activities. KOBI-TV
- ➤ Several Josephine County law enforcement agencies teamed up last week for Shop with a Cop on Dec. 11 to bring holiday cheer to local kids by taking them on a personal shopping spree (the event aimed to build lasting trust between officers and youth) and was supported by local donations. KOBI-TV
- ➤ Southern Oregon radio host Bill Meyer was honored by the Jackson County Board of Commissioners on Dec. 11 with the Chairman’s Award. Meyer — the morning host and program director at KMED — was recognized for his longstanding service that has strengthened community ties. KOBI-TV
- ➤ The Salvation Army is calling for volunteers to cover bell-ringing in Grants Pass and Jackson County as the Red Kettle season nears its end (15 days left), bolstering community support. Rogue River Press
- ➤ Sherm’s donated over 20,000 pounds of food from its truck to Access’ warehouse for the holiday season, marking the 28th year of partnership in the Rogue Valley. The effort supports volunteer-run pantries that help local families in need. KDRV
