- ➤ Downtown will shine on Dec. 13 at 6 p.m. as the Christmas Parade – themed Miracle on 6th Street – brings festive floats, bands and safe candy handouts along 6th Street from C to L; volunteers are needed at 3:30 p.m. near the courthouse to assist. The Grants Pass Tribune
- ➤ The Grants Pass Tribune celebrated its 100th issue this week as it marked three years of community support and honest local reporting. The milestone shows the paper’s dedication + impact on journalism in our hometown while promising to keep covering critical issues. The Grants Pass Tribune
- ➤ McKee Bridge Historical Society invites the community to the 7th Annual Christmas on a Covered Bridge event on Saturday, Dec. 13, noon to 5 p.m. at McKee Bridge on Upper Applegate Road. - ➤ Grants Pass residents will meet their elected leaders during the monthly Council Community Connection on Dec. 12 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Taste and See, 239 SE G Street in downtown Grants Pass — an open forum to discuss local issues. The Grants Pass Tribune
- ➤ Lawmakers will revisit Oregon’s liability waiver rules in the 2026 short legislative session, raising concerns among Southern Oregon ski resorts like Mount Ashland over rising insurance costs. Resorts face increased expenses as they start a slow ski season. KDRV
- ➤ ODOT began installing permanent signs, reflective markings & flashing beacons on I-5 ramps in Jackson County at night to reduce wrong-way driver incidents following a fatal crash, and the work started in June and may continue until next fall. KOBI-TV
