EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ RCC Foundation has committed $650,000 to support Rogue Community College programs in Jackson and Josephine counties as the state prepares for potential budget cuts in the next biennium — the measure will help maintain staffing levels and vital student services. The Grants Pass Tribune
- ➤ Students at Redwood Elementary now can enjoy an all-abilities playground after it was unveiled Friday afternoon by the school district. The inclusive facility, funded with nearly $300,000 from various donors (local businesses, families, and community partners), is designed for children and families. KOBI-TV
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Oregon’s hospitals are set to change in early 2026 as Vibra Specialty Hospital (in Portland) stops admissions and shuts down in February and Asante ends inpatient care at Ashland, which will become a satellite campus.
