- ➤ On November 18, children at Rogue River Elementary participated in the Caps for Kids tradition by making and wearing Burt and Ernie caps—joining over 200 students in a longstanding effort to honor local warmth and community spirit. Rogue River Press
- ➤ Community organizations are providing free Thanksgiving meals to those in need across the Rogue Valley this holiday weekend. Volunteers from 12th Step Street Recovery and First United Methodist Church served meals at Hawthorne Park, and today free meals are available at Point Pub and Grill in Central Point from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. — at the Gospel Rescue Mission in Grants Pass from noon to 3 p.m. and in Ashland from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. KDRV
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Rogue River Schools Superintendent Patrick Lee, who turns 55 next month and graduated from the local high school 36 years ago, is stepping away from his role after many years of service; he had expected to lead the district for several more years. Rogue River Press
