  • Josephine County Animal Shelter has featured He-Man, a friendly three-year-old dog weighing 97 pounds who has been a favorite among staff—he is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready for a new home.   • Governor Tina Kotek is facing a recall campaign led by Oregon for the People as supporters work to gather signatures and challenge unclear petition rules for a statewide recall. In Josephine County, recall paperwork was filed on August 26 for Commissioners Chris Barnett and Andreas Blech amid concerns over governance issues and a $4.8 million judgment—raising questions about local leadership.  The Grants Pass Tribune
  • County Commissioner Chris Barnett has spread false information and used his online platform to intimidate local citizens—blocking job opportunities and targeting critics.
