- ➤ The Josephine Marijuana Enforcement Team with FBI assistance dismantled an illegal marijuana operation on Althouse Creek Road in Cave Junction on August 26 by seizing over 11,600 plants, 2,500 pounds of processed marijuana and a firearm, and arrested Richard James Bassett Jr. (33) on charges including unlawful possession, manufacturing and groundwater appropriation as the investigation continues. - ➤ On August 26, authorities raided an illegal marijuana grow on the 700 block of Althouse Creek Road in Cave Junction—seizing over 11,600 plants, 2,500 pounds of product, and a firearm—and arrested 33-year-old Richard James Bassett Jr for operating beyond legal limits. The Grants Pass Tribune
