Seniors, caregivers and community members will meet at the Josephine County Fairgrounds on Friday, September 12 for the Southern Oregon Senior Resource Fair, a free all-day event offering health guidance and aging information such as Alzheimer’s, dementia, chronic pain, elder law and Medicare/Medicaid. The event will feature a Veteran Recognition Ceremony at 10 a.m.—hosted by NCOA—and a Disaster Preparedness Event at 1 p.m. with first responders sharing emergency readiness tips.

The Applegate Valley will host the Jacksaphine Count(r)y Fair from September 19 to September 28—featuring food, art, music, sports and outdoor fun at different local spots.

Organized by A Greater Applegate, the festival will bring together local farmers, winemakers and artists to celebrate the area’s rich heritage.
