- ➤ Excitement grows as First Friday returns to Grants Pass on September 5. Downtown merchants plan an event from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.—featuring live music, sidewalk specials, and food vendors—and festivities may extend later into the evening. KDRV
- ➤ Habitat for Humanity Rogue Valley is building 12 new homes with four in Ashland and eight in Medford—locals can help by volunteering, applying for a home vacancy, or donating support. The group will hold a homeownership orientation on Tuesday, September 16 at 6:30 p.m. at 2201 S Pacific Hwy in Medford and will host community events on October 4 and October 25 to further engage residents. - ➤ Club Northwest in Grants Pass hosted a free community pickleball potluck on Labor Day; the fitness center offered both casual and competitive games (and shared food) to bring members together. KDRV
- ➤ The memorial track walk will be held at Reinhart Volunteer Park on September 11 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. to mark the 102 minutes between the South Tower hit and North Tower collapse + first responders and the public are welcome with parking available off Lincoln Road. KDRV

- ➤ Grants Pass police arrested 46-year-old Jeremy Johnson on Sunday night after he stabbed a 38-year-old woman on the 1000 block of SW Foundry—she suffered a severe neck wound, received emergency care at Three Rivers Medical Center and was transferred to Rogue Regional Medical Center while he was charged with attempted murder, first-degree assault and unlawful use of a weapon.
