- ➤ On August 30th, 2025, residents in Southern Oregon paid an average of $3.98 per gallon for gasoline – nearly 80 cents over the national average of $3.19 – which made Oregon the fourth most expensive state for fuel. Families and local businesses continue to face higher operating costs as they rely on vehicles for daily activities. The Grants Pass Tribune
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Yesterday, the Rogue River between Matson Park and Griffin Park was closed from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for private boats during practice runs for the Labor Day Races. Today, the Josephine County Sheriff’s Marine Patrol has imposed additional restrictions (private boats are not allowed and spectators must stay 50 feet away) from Baker Park to Griffin Park one hour before races running from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The Grants Pass Tribune
