  • Two people were arrested Monday after +JMET+ served a search warrant at an illegal marijuana grow site on Laurel Road in Cave Junction, where authorities seized about 1,000 plants and cited multiple code violations.  KDRV

  • Chairman John Ellis and Secretary/Treasurer Craig Berry from Jackson County Fire District No.1 attended the Rogue River City Council Workshop on Aug.21 and said the district—seeking a solar panel grant—needs help to fund new solar projects.  Rogue River Press

HEALTH NEWS

  • Parents in Grants Pass are advised to boost immunity this fall by eating vitamin C-rich fruits and vegetables and staying hydrated with water or herbal teas as cold and flu season approaches. Getting enough sleep, walking local trails, and managing stress (such as through deep breathing) can help families lower the risk of seasonal illness.  The Grants Pass Tribune
