GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ A new law now lets Josephine County and several rural counties use road funds for law enforcement patrols—House Bill 3328, sponsored by Representative Owens at the request of Grant County Commissioner Jim Hamsher, permits counties to cover direct costs like deputy salaries and vehicle upkeep. The Josephine County Board of Commissioners is expected to meet in fall 2025 to discuss how to use this option to address local public safety needs. The Grants Pass Tribune
