Good morning, Grants Pass.

Grants Pass will host its fourth annual Fourth of July Food Truck Festival at Reinhart Volunteer Park on Saturday, July 4 with food trucks, live music, bounce houses, and a fireworks display at dusk; families are encouraged to bring canned food for the Josephine County Food Bank and use the shuttle service for easier parking.

Oregon families using SNAP benefits will continue to purchase the same approved groceries on July 1 despite national reports on soda+candy bans; the state has resumed mandatory eligibility interviews to verify benefit qualifications, so households should follow the new administrative steps from Oregon DHS.

Residents in Southern Oregon are feeling unusually tired as high grass pollen levels and warm weather trigger allergy symptoms and fatigue.

Health experts recommend practical steps (keeping windows closed, showering after outdoor exposure, and using air conditioning) to lessen allergen exposure.

At Neko Sushi in Grants Pass, diners watch sushi chefs make the Red Devil Roll and Spicy California Roll using fresh, tasty ingredients.

The restaurant serves a variety of Japanese dishes and offers friendly service (a local treat).
