- ➤ On Sunday, the Southern Oregon Annual Veg Fest took place at the Tikkun Olam Farm Sanctuary in Phoenix—drawing more than 40 vendors, live music, tractor rides, and animal encounters. Proceeds benefited the nonprofit that cares for abused farm animals. KDRV
- ➤ Grants Pass nonprofit Mobile Integrative Navigation Team announced its cooling center at 218 Redwood Highway will operate all summer from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.—extended to 7 p.m. on days hitting 90 degrees or higher. KDRV

- ➤ A man was killed Saturday night when his vehicle rolled over near the intersection of Williams Highway and Green Meadow Road—emergency crews arrived at 8:30 p.m. June 7 and found the car on its roof. Medford Alert
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Oregon POWER Act was signed on June 5 and shifts more grid costs to industrial users—such as data centers and cryptocurrency facilities—to help ease rising energy bills for Southern Oregon households. The law takes effect immediately and will remain in place through at least 2035 to monitor grid performance and cost fairness. The Grants Pass Tribune
