  • Safeway and Albertsons have partnered with ACCESS for the annual Bag Summer Hunger drive, which will run until July 4 and lets customers buy $5 or $10 virtual grocery bags—filled with protein, rice, beans, pasta, and tuna—to support local food pantries. The effort is part of ongoing measures by the companies to combat rising food insecurity in our community.  KOBI-TV

CULTURE NEWS

  • Cafe-Girl Thriving Artists, LLC is hosting Celebrate Art, Celebrate Life on June 20 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Barnstormers Theatre at 112 NE Evelyn Avenue in Grants Pass to support the local theater. The event will feature live performances, film screenings, and art showcases—highlighting Southern Oregon’s creative talent—and tickets cost $25 with proceeds benefiting Barnstormers Theatre.  The Grants Pass Tribune

  • Today the Grants Pass Police Department launched Citizen Connect, a digital platform that uses an interactive map—showing aggregated crime data without sensitive details—to help residents track local crime trends.
