- ➤ Southern Oregon Head Start will close half its services this Friday and will shut down completely on April 18 if the federal funds remain frozen — leaving 917 children without help and affecting 367 staff — as Peter Buckley said no explanation has been given for the missing payments. KOBI-TV

- ➤ The Grants Pass City Council voted to add two new homeless camp sites after a judge granted a Preliminary Injunction that requires the city to increase ADA accessible camping to serve up to 150 people—city officials said the A St. site will be ready next week while the former OnTrack facility site will open in late April or early May. The move comes after the council had recently reduced the number of camping sites and now must comply with the court order. KOBI-TV
- ➤ ODOT is planning upgrades to the 98-year-old bridge over the Rogue River in Gold Hill by widening its deck from 20’ to 24’ and updating the ADA-compliant walkway—an online open house will allow residents to view the timeline and offer input on historic details—while keeping pedestrian access open during repairs.
