The program + which is the valley's first Associate of Applied Science degree in surgical tech met high enrollment and will double capacity next year.

Rogue Community College has approved expansion of transportation technology training facilities at its Redwood Campus in Grants Pass and Table Rock Campus for Jackson County.

The project addresses industry shortages and modernizes instruction and will expand enrollment while construction planning is underway (details to follow).

Today, the Oregon Senate passed SB1517 to clarify liability waivers for recreation businesses, meaning local outdoor operators (from guiding river trips to running gyms) may face lower insurance costs and remain accountable for reckless acts as the bill moves to the Oregon House.

The Oregon House approved House Bill 4148 that lets local governments use tourism tax revenue for essential services like roads and public safety.

The measure now moves to the Senate for review.
