- ➤ On Jan. 27, the Jackson County Board of Commissioners celebrated a bill that restores a 75 percent timber revenue share for O&C counties, replacing the earlier 50 percent rate; officials say the change will improve long-term budgeting as revenues depend on future timber harvests. KOBI-TV
- ➤ The Tourism Advisory Committee (set to host its meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 3) will meet at 4:00 p.m. in the Ridge Room at City Hall as it discusses public comments, approval of minutes, the BMX national event, and outdoor recreation goals, with remote participation available via Microsoft Teams.
