- ➤ Veterans, active-duty service members, and family members in Southern Oregon can register with IBM SkillsBuild for free technology training that spans over 1,000 online courses. - ➤ Firefighters with the Oregon Department of Forestry contained the McCoy Creek Fire near Wolf Creek yesterday after it burned under 14 acres, and crews will remain through the weekend for mop-up operations and to investigate the spark. Medford Alert

- ➤ JOCO VITA will host an educational forum on tax changes at the Josephine Community Library on Saturday, Jan. 31 at 1:00 p.m. to help local residents understand new federal tax rules affecting 2025 filing season + the event includes time for questions and free tax preparation appointments.
